TURTLE TUNES
Turtle Tunes is a joyful time for children to listen to sounds, explore instruments, participate in instrument ensembles and engage in singing games and dances. Instruments will be used in class for exploration, steady beat and improvisation. Songs and music from varied sources, both traditional and contemporary, will be used in class. Children will make their own rhythm instruments from time to time so that they can enjoy making their own music at home! Music instruction is a wonderful way to encourage children's large and small motor skills, their listening and patterning skills, creativity and social interaction. The cost for this professional music instruction is $15 per class - only $10.00/hour!.

Instructor: Allison Ashley has been an early childhood music educator for 20 years and is currently a multi-age teacher at Covenant. Jackie Jung will also assist in this class.

SPANISH
Covenant's Spanish class will be a very gentle introduction to the Spanish language through the use of games, songs, books, and play. Children will eat a parent-provided sack lunch and have many opportunities to hear and practice the use of different Spanish words. This enrichment is intended to give children an awareness of another language and the sense that learning another language can be fun! The cost is $15 per class - only $10.00/hour.

Instructors: Becky Brodsky will be teaching the Spanish enrichment for the second year along with Jackie Jung. Along with many years of study in the Spanish language in school, Becky has also lived in Spain for several years - immersing herself in the language, culture and people. She has two young children, tutors Spanish privately, and has also taught Spanish classes to groups of young children. Jackie has also studed Spansh for many years and has spent much time in Spain immersing herself in the people, culture and language. She is currently a multi-age teacher.

PRE-K
For all those children who have turned 4 by September 1 of this year, Covenant is offering a Pre-Kindergarten class to help sharpen those "school readiness" skills. Children will be given experiences with the alphabet, phonemic awareness, rhyming, and use of print. They will also have the opportunity to focus more intensively on pre-literacy, pre-math and social skills through games, hands on activities, music, story dictation and dramatization, art and dramatic movement. This cost is $15 per class.

Instructors: Current multi-age teachers Linda Goad and Allison Ashley will lead this exciting class.

WILD SCIENCE
For the third year, Covenant will be offering a great class for your very inquisitive child. Children will have the opportunity to eat a parent-provided sack lunch in the company of friends, explore some scientific phenomena, as well as conduct some basic science experiments/projects such as making a volcano, mixing colors, creating safe chemical reactions, and exploring weather phenomena. This is a very hands on class - perfect for those children always asking "why?". The cost is $15 per class.

Instructors: Elizabeth Hubbard, a former Covenant parent and fellow educator, and Martha Petersen, a Young Three's/Turtle Two's teacher, will be leading this class.

HANDS ON ART
New to Covenant last year, we will be offering a very hands on, often times messy art enrichment. Children will have the opportunity to experience a variety of art materials such as sculpture, papier-mache, mod podge, 3D collage, as well as some more familiar art mediums. All projects are very open-ended and process oriented - making it a great enrichment for all ages! Children will also have the opportunity to eat a parent-provided sack lunch in the company of friends and have some time for free drawing. The cost for this enrichment is $15.00 per class.

Instructors: Michelle Brookfield, a former Covenant parent, artist and graphic designer, and Jackie Jung, a current Covenant teacher with a background in art therapy lead this class.

LUNCH BUNCH PLUS
This lunch program is offered to any child in our Multi-Age and Young Three's classes. Children have the opportunity to eat a parent-provided sack lunch, meet new friends and participate in relaxed, less structured free play. As an additional bonus: Martha offers an engaging craft project such as making crowns, wands, collages, etc. - creating a very responsive environment for all ages! Children will be escorted by a teacher to Lunch Bunch Plus which will be held in the Turtle Two's/Young Three's "castle room" in the basement. The cost for Lunch Bunch Plus is $12 per day - only $8.00/hour! Drop-ins are allowed as space permits at $15 per day.

Instructor: Martha Petersen will be leading this highly engaging, very relaxed lunch program.

CREATIVE MOVEMENT LUNCH BUNCH
This lunchtime program will be offered on Fridays and will feature many different opportunities for children to move, stretch, run, wiggle, and express themselves dramatically. Each session may also include craft projects (creating streamers to dance with) or other artistic expressions incorporating creative movement. Time in the indoor playroom will be included as part of every session - a great class for Fridays! Children will also eat a parent-provided sack lunch in the company of friends. The cost for this class is $15 per day.

Instructor: Martha Petersen, our Turtle Two's/Young Three's teacher, will lead this very creative enrichment along with Jackie Jung, a current teacher in the Multi-Age class. This class will take place in the basement "castle room".
