Tina has been the Executive Director of Covenant Nursery School for the last thirteen years. She has a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Northwestern University and a Masters of Education, specializing in Early Childhood Education from the Erikson Institute (a graduate school specializing in child development) here in Chicago. Prior to having her own children and taking a few years off, she was Assistant Director of Baby Toddler Nursery in Evanston. She is married with three children, all of which are Covenant graduates!

Katie will be joining Jacy as a co-teacher in the Wildflower Room. Katie comes to Covenant with a Bachelor’s degree in Music and additional experience teaching music to young children. As a mom to four kids (two who are alumni of Covenant and twins who will be in the Two’s & Three’s classes) this year, she is an experienced professional!

We are excited to welcome Jacy to Covenant now as a lead teacher! Miss Jacy will be teaching in the Wildflower Multi-age room – she comes to us with a Masters in Early Childhood Education and 19 years of experience teaching children 2-5 years old. Her twin girls are recent graduates of Covenant. Jacy will also be teaching the Pre-K enrichment class with Ms. Rebecca.

Kim Stanton

Kim is our Assistant Director/Floater Teacher. She is married with two children of her own. She has over 25 years of professional early childhood experience in addition to the wealth of knowledge she gained raising her own children. She has an Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education from Oakton Community College and has completed some of the coursework toward a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Administration.

Allison is a lead teacher in the Birch Multi-age Room. She also loves using her musical background to teach Turtle Tunes and her love of nature and the outdoors to teach Nature Explorers, both enrichment classes. She has taught young children since 1988 - that's over 30 years of experience! She has a Masters degree in Music as well as additional coursework in Early Childhood Education. Allison has two children and is a new grandma to a baby girl!

We're excited to welcome back Rebecca to Covenant!  She will be joining Allison in the Birch Multi-age Room and will also be teaching the Pre-K enrichment with Jacy. Rebecca comes to us with a Masters Degree in Education and over 6 years of experience teaching children 2-5 years old.  Rebecca has two children in college. She is excited to share her love of the outdoors!

We are thrilled to be welcoming Miss Caroline to the Turtle Two’s & Honeybee Three’s teaching team this year. Caroline has a Bachelor’s degree in Communication and an extensive array of volunteer work directing programs for young children, organizing events and interacting directly with young children of all ages. Caroline has three school age children of her own, ranging in age from 13 to 7.

We're excited to also welcome back Miss Gina to Covenant! She will be joining Miss Caroline and Miss Jackie in the Turtle Two’s and Honeybee Three’s classes and will be leading several additional enrichments as well. Gina comes to us with a teaching certification, 9 years of experience with elementary and preschool aged children, and is excited to bring her love of art and young children to our program.Gina has two children, a freshman in college and a sophomore in high school.

Jackie is an assistant teacher in the Turtle Two's and Honeybee Three's classes. In addition to her experience at Covenant, Jackie is a mom of four children and one grandchild - which naturally brings a wealth of practical experience and knowledge to our program! In total, she has over fourteen years of Early Childhood Education experience

Erica Sweeney

Erica returns to Covenant to assist the multi-age classrooms on Tuesdays and Thursdays.          Five years ago, Erica served as an aide to a child with special needs at our program and she is excited to be returning to help out both classrooms this year! Erica has a Master's Degree in School Psychology and many years of experience working with school age children. She has two children of her own, both in junior high.
