Tina has been the Executive Director of Covenant Nursery School for the last thirteen years. She has a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Northwestern University and a Masters of Education, specializing in Early Childhood Education from the Erikson Institute (a graduate school specializing in child development) here in Chicago. Prior to having her own children and taking a few years off, she was Assistant Director of Baby Toddler Nursery in Evanston. She is married with three children, all of which are Covenant graduates!

Karen is a lead teacher in the multi-age Turtle Stars classroom. Some of you might know her from running the Parent's Day Out program for the past 20 years. Karen has completed extensive early childhood education coursework and has immense experience with preschool aged children. She also taught for many years at the Oakton Community College Lab School in a multi-age classroom. 

Jackie is a lead teacher in the multi-age Turtle Stars classroom. She has a great deal of experience working with children and is looking forward to meeting many new families. She has a Bachelor's Degree in Art from DePaul University and a Master's Degree in Art Therapy from the Adler School of Professional Psychology.


Allison • 14 years with Covenant

Kim • 7 years with Covenant

Allison is a lead teacher in the multi-age Turtle Champs Room. She also loves using her musical background to teach Turtle Tunes and her love of nature and the outdoors to teach Nature Explorers, both enrichment classes. She has taught young children since 1988 - that's over 29 years of experience! She has a Masters degree in Music as well as additional coursework in Early Childhood Education.

Elizabeth is a lead teacher in the Turtle Two's and Young Three's classes. She has three children who all graduated from Covenant, during which time she served as Board President and the helped the school achieve its initial NAEYC accreditation - a huge undertaking! She has a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from Beloit College and has over fourteen additional years of experience teaching young children.

Kim is our Assistant Director/Floater Teacher. She is married with two children of her own. She has over 25 years of professional early childhood experience in addition to the wealth of knowledge she gained raising her own children. She has an Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education from Oakton Community College and has completed some of the coursework toward a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Administration.

Jackie is an assistant teacher in the Turtle Two's and Young Three's classes. In addition to her experience at Covenant, Jackie is a mom of four children - which naturally brings a wealth of practical experience and knowledge to our program! In total, she has over thirteen years of Early Childhood Education experience.

We're excited to welcome Rebecca to Covenant!  She will be joining Allison in the Turtle Champs and will also be teaching the Pre-K enrichment with Karen. Rebecca comes to us with a Masters Degree in Education and over 5 years of experience teaching children 2-5 years old.  Rebecca has two children, one in college and one a senior in high school. She is excited to join the Covenant staff in a shared love of the outdoors!

We're excited to also welcome Miss Gina to Covenant! She will be joining Miss Elizabeth and Miss Jackie in the Turtle Two’s and Young Three’s classes and will be leading several additional enrichments as well. Gina comes to us with a teaching certification, 8 years of experience with elementary and preschool aged children, and is excited to bring her love of art and young children to our program. She has two high school aged children who keep her on her toes! 


Erica • 2 years with Covenant

Erica returns to Covenant to assist the multi-age classrooms on Tuesdays and Thursdays.          Five years ago, Erica served as an aide to a child with special needs at our program and she is excited to be returning to help out both classrooms this year! Erica has a Master's Degree in School Psychology and many years of experience working with school age children. She has two children of her own, both in junior high.
