| Camp Covenant is Covenant Nursery School’s revamped summer program designed to engage young children in the wonders of the outdoors, playing with others and having fun! Children will be exposed to a group setting that includes: activities guided by children’s particular interests, art and craft activities, small and large group play, music and movement activities, and books – much of which will be outside! On hot days, children can wear swimwear to camp and explore all the excitement of water-related activities. Covenant’s experienced staff will be running this new program – Jackie Jung and Martha Petersen are excited to be creating a summer program for all to enjoy! To be eligible for Camp Covenant, children must be 3 years old by September 1, 2012 and need to be potty trained. A morning snack will be included.
Camp Covenant will run from Tuesday, May 29 – Friday, July 6 and will be taking place both in one of our multi-age classrooms and our outdoor classroom (with occasional trips to Central Park). Camp will run for 6 weeks – families can choose which weeks and how many days per week your child/ren will attend. Children may attend 2, 3, 4, or 5 days a week. New this year, we will be offering an optional lunch extension Monday- Thursday (children will eat a parent-provided lunch). Class meets from 9:30-12:00, with the optional lunch extension from 12:00-1:00.
Cost per day is $20 for the 9:30-12:00 option and $30/ day with the additional lunch extension. Families signing up for 4 or more weeks (at least 3 days a week) will receive a 10% discount on their summer tuition. Registration for Covenant’s Summer Camp Program will open to new families on January 30 – at that point registration will be on a first come, first served basis. For current and alumni families, please submit your registration form prior to that date to guarantee your child a spot.
No refunds will be given for children’s absences due to illness or travel. Payment is due in full* to reserve your child’s space in this unique summer camp! Please complete the attached form and return to Tina along with your check or money order made out to Covenant Nursery School. We recognize that it is very early in the year to be planning out your summer. If you find yourself needing to change your child’s camp schedule as the summer approaches, we will make every attempt to work something out with you.
