Learning to care for nature and plants and to have a hand-on experience in seeing what care and providing basic needs for something as tiny as a seed could yield is so rewarding and such a meaningful lesson for our little ones as they themselves grow with us. We love to show that getting our hands dirty and engaging in nature can be interesting, fun, and delicious!
Covenant applied for and received a sustainability grant through ChangeX to create a Pollinator Garden on our grounds. A small group of teachers and parents are working up plans for three different garden areas outside of the Turtle Playscape and along the Scholarship Brickwalk. We will be starting some seedlings indoors with the children to be ready to plant outdoors near the end of May.
