Covenant Nursery School is seeking a Multi-Age Classroom Co-Teacher
Part-Time Lead Teacher – Multi-Age Class

Covenant Nursery School is a nonprofit, part-day preschool that embraces a developmentally appropriate, nature-infused, play-based approach to learning. We work closely with caregivers to create a warm, nurturing, and inviting environment for both children and families. Position Details:
• Part-time position with classroom hours from 8:45 AM to 12:00 PM, Monday–Friday.
• Additional paid time for curriculum planning, weekly co-teacher meetings, parent conferences (including conference write-ups), biweekly staff meetings, and school events.
• Team teaching model: You will work collaboratively with another lead teacher in a classroom of up to 20 students.
• Optional enrichment hours available from 11:45 AM to 1:15 PM.
Responsibilities:
• Work collaboratively with a co-teacher to create an engaging, developmentally appropriate classroom environment.
• Foster curiosity, problem-solving, and social-emotional development in young learners.
• Support children and parents in the separation process and build strong, trusting relationships with families.
• Communicate regularly with parents/caregivers in person, via email, and through a communication app.
• Document classroom experiences through photo journaling, work samples, and classroom documentation displays.
• Conduct three conferences per year (one before school starts, fall phone conferences, and in-person spring conferences), with written reports provided in fall and spring.
• Observe and assess children based on Covenant’s assessment plan.
• Complete 15 hours of professional development annually in early childhood and nature education. Qualifications:
• Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field with ECE coursework.
• Experience in nature education or a strong passion for outdoor learning.
• Strong teamwork skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with co-teachers, families, and staff.
• Excellent communication and writing skills, along with warmth, enthusiasm, professionalism, and flexibility.
